How BINDER works

Everything about turning trading fees into graded collectibles — from the first rule to the verified slab.

Introduction

What is BINDER?

BINDER is a launchpad where every token is a strategy: a public, rule-based plan to acquire graded physical collectibles — trading cards, slabs, sealed product — funded by the token's own trading fees.

Instead of a meme with no purpose, each launch declares up front exactly what it will buy, how much of its fees go to the treasury, and how purchases are verified. The binder fills up as volume grows.

Status: BINDER is pre-launch. No strategies are live yet and on-chain launching is not deployed. These docs describe how the system is designed to work.

Introduction

Core concepts

TermMeaning
StrategyA token plus its acquisition rules (franchise, character, grader, min grade, max price).
TreasuryThe wallet that receives the strategy's share of trading fees.
TargetThe next card the treasury is saving toward. Progress = treasury ÷ target price.
AcquisitionA completed purchase of an eligible card, tracked through custody.
GraduationWhen the bonding curve fills and liquidity migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool.

Lifecycle

1 · Create a strategy

The creator defines the rules. Rules are fixed at launch so holders always know what the treasury is allowed to buy.

strategy {
  name:        "Charizard Strategy"
  ticker:      "CHARSTR"
  franchise:   "Pokémon"
  character:   "Charizard"
  grader: "PSA" | "BGS" | "CGC"
  min_grade:   9
  max_price:   2500 USDC
  fee_share:   50%   // of creator fees → treasury
}

Use the Launch wizard to draft one today — submission unlocks once the on-chain program is live.

Lifecycle

2 · Launch on a bonding curve

Each strategy token launches on a Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve (DBC). Price rises automatically as people buy, so there's no pre-sale and no team allocation sniping.

When the curve reaches its migration threshold, liquidity graduates into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool, where it trades like any normal Solana token.

Lifecycle

3 · Accumulate fees

Every trade pays a small fee. The strategy's declared share of creator fees is claimed into its treasury wallet — visible on-chain to anyone.

progress = treasury_balance / next_target_price
// e.g. 1,240 / 2,500 = 49.6%

No volume means no fees. A strategy can stay below its target forever — that's a real risk, not a bug.

Lifecycle

4 · Acquire & verify

Once funded, an eligible card matching the rules is purchased. Each acquisition moves through public states:

01

Pending

02

Ordered

03

In custody

04

Verified

Verification means the grading certificate number is published and matches the grader's own database, plus custody photos.

FAQ

Do I own the card if I hold the token?

No. A strategy token is not a claim on any physical item.

Can rules change after launch?

No. Rules are locked at launch so holders can trust them.

Who holds the cards?

A named custodian, published per strategy, with photos and cert numbers.

Is anything live today?

Not yet. Launching opens once the Meteora config and program are deployed.

Risks

  • Trading a strategy token is not ownership of any physical collectible.
  • Tokens are volatile and can go to zero. Fee volume may never reach a target.
  • Physical custody carries counterparty, shipping and grading risks.
  • Smart contracts can contain bugs. Nothing here is financial advice.
